Hillary Outdoors Camp

Hi guys I'm back from my week off and today I'll be talking about why I didn't post last week,
CAMP!!!

All the year 8s went to Hillary Outdoors Camp on Monday and left school at 9:55. We did lots of fun and different activities there as well. The most challenging thing I did there was probably the high ropes because I am a little bit scared of heights. Each activity at the high ropes pushed me to do my best. The first one, jumping to another platform, was the easiest but I had to push myself to do it. The second one, the slowly moving log, was one I set a goal for. My goal was to get to the other side... by just standing up, without holding anything. I managed to do it and I was really proud of myself. The third one and my personal favourite, The rock climbing line of death, It was definitely the hardest one because you had to have really good grip strength and really good upper body strength. Some of the rock climbing rocks could be twisted so it was hard for my feet to stay on it.

One thing I found easy was the low ropes because it was only a meter off the ground and I trusted my group entirely...well...maybe not. The activities were what I expected but the experience wasn't what I was expecting at all. Like teamwork went to a whole new level and communication also went to another level. So it was a very good learning curve. My proudest moments were when I went first in most of the caving challenges and picked the hardest one. I also got to experience it first as well. My favourite moment was bridge jumping. I had no fear walking up to the bridge and once you jump you feel like the whole world stopped. You can hear your heart beating and everything goes silent...
SPLASH!!!
And all of a sudden you're in the water, just with a click of a finger.

So that was the post for this week and answer the poll on the right >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I don't know if the polls still up but if it is please answer it and until next time
