Medieval Week!

Hi guys I'm back and today I'll be talking about Medieval Week (Which was last week). We did lots of fun things last week like having a giant minecraft Capture the Flag. We made medieval villages in minecraft over the  five weeks before the Capture The Flag. Another thing we did was that we were put into groups to research a certain topic about the medieval times. I was in a group with Fraser, Liam and Jack. We also had to teach the class about the topic we picked. The topic we picked was torture. No we are not weird for picking a gruesome topic (as some people might think that) we are courageous and amazing! Anyway...

Our lesson went well and when we explained how the torture devices worked we put nightmares in peoples mind. Something that went well was that we all remembered our lines and our power point went smoothly. Our quiz was good and everybody got the questions right. Something we could have done better is doing something other than a quiz because everybody did a quiz. An alternative could have been that you had to do something or you would get punished. The lesson I enjoyed the most was about the medieval knights. I liked this lesson because the end activity wasn't a quiz. It was a jousting contest where the one person was a horse and the other was the knight/jouster. The knight got on top of the horse and the horse went on to its knees and hands. Then the horse crawled forward while the knight, who was holding a cushion as a shield and a noodle as a weapon, tried to knock over the other knight and horse. The first person to fall off their horse or if the horse fell over, was the loser.

So that was the post for this week and I'll see you guys next time.

Kapa Haka

Hi guys I'm back and today I'll be talking about Kapa Haka. Every afternoon, on Wednesdays, we do Kapa Haka. In Kapa Haka we learn different Maori songs and learn many different actions to the words. It's a very fun thing to do and I look forward to learn more every Wednesday afternoon.

Something I find easy about doing Kapa Haka is learning the actions. I always do my best to try and make the actions bold and realistic. Something difficult about Kapa Haka is trying to say the words and doing the actions all at the same time. It's difficult because I can't remember the actions most of the time and we have to pay attention to the words because it's in Maori and I don't speak Maori. I can improve my performance by listening more and practicing some of the actions.

So that was the post for this week and I'll see you guys next time.

MINECRAFT STUFF

100 times better than ours
(BUT WERE KIDS WERE NOT AS GOOD AS THESE PEOPLE)
Hi guys and I'm back talking about  our...

MEDIEVAL
MINECRAFT
VILLAGE!!!

It's going pretty well apart from the fact that nobody is really working together.
But overall it's okay.

Our village is pretty accurate to the history of the Medieval Times but somethings in our village isn't that accurate like in the castle people were going to put ladders in the corner towers of the castle but back in medieval times it was a spiral staircase. We've fixed that already. Something I like about the village is the prison. It has lots of cool and unique features. We still need to work on the castle... a lot. The castle already has a lot of progress but there is still lots to work on. Two more thing I still need to do is help finish the roads and help finish the castle.

So that was the post for this week and I'll see you guys next time.
